Excellent.
Review by Melissa
This was our second crate that we've worked on here at the home and I was quite impressed with the amount of thought and activity and learning we were able to do here. All 6 of my kids were quite involved and enthusiastic with this crate-- as well as their Dad when he came home.

we enjoyed the magazine
Review by Melissa B.
My daughter (and I) loved the book containing the history of the zoetrope and the connections to current animation. She could identify with the content and it was perfect for her reading and age level. The interchangeable pictures are great and she, at 8, was able to fully put it together independently.

animation fun!
Review by Ann K.
The kids liked to watch the "movie" with each of the sets of images. They made their own movie with the blank cards. One of my kids said we'd never have to watch a movie on tv again because we had these cool ones to watch. It would be really nice if the completed project could fit back into the crate without dis-assembly for easier storage. One child did not want the others to cut up the TinkerZine for the thaumatropes. Perhaps that page could have been a pull-out instead.

high quality
Review by Lisa P.
I liked the high quality materials. I loved the fact that my 6 year old (7 now) built it all by himself with very little interference from me. He loved the different animations and cut out three separate ones before drawing one himself. He drew an animation of a comet hitting the moon. So cool.

Tinkerzine is great!
Review by Tamara S.
We liked having so many different options to use inside the zoetrope, the options to create our own film strip, and the additional thaumatrope cut-outs provided. We also LOVE all the scientific and historical information in the Tinkerzine.

great confidence booster
Review by Diana K.
Super simple to put together and look great even for my 12 year old who has some issues with craftsmanship. It was a great confidence booster.

educational fun
Review by Martha A.
The creativity of it! Everything needed is in the box. Stimulates the imagination and enhances learning....a fabulous enrichment activity. The variety of the "movies" she got to make with the different scenarios.

my son loves this!
Review by Lori M.
My son was so excited the day the crate arrived that he couldn't sleep. He was even up in the night working on it. He completed the whole project on his own. He enjoyed "building" it and demonstrating it to anyone willing to watch.

very cool
Review by Amber R.
It was fun to make and cool to watch. My daughter brought it to her homeschool options school because they were learning about moving pictures in her Inventions class and the other students loved it.

Tinker Crate fun!
Review by Vanessa S.
Tons of fun! The booklet is a good feature, so full of other projects. This was our first crate and my daughter was super excited. The instructions were very easy to follow. We enjoyed it all ! With todays video games and being homeschooled the science part kinda gets put on the back burner. I am so glad I joined the tinkercrate. I hope all the rest of the kits are just as awesome. At first I didnt think I would like the "not knowing" of what we would be getting, but we just couldnt wait to get it!
